Active Matter™ Manufacturing  revolutionises operations through training and product design simulations, digital twins of factories, remote collaboration, and assembly line efficiency.

Challenges in Manufacturing

Skills Gap
US manufacturing could face a shortage of 2.4 million skilled workers by 2028 (Deloitte and The Manufacturing Institute report).

Ageing Workforce
25% of the manufacturing workforce is over 55 years old (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Technological Advancements
14% increase in robot sales in 2020 (International Federation of Robotics report).

Digital Literacy
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and data analytics tools are becoming widespread.

Skill assessments of staff are subjective and costly.

Real-life scenarios cannot be simulated.

Lack of Training Programs
45% of workers reported a lack of access to high-quality workforce training programs (National Association of Manufacturers study).

Diversity and Inclusion
A diverse workforce offers innovation through different perspectives and problem-solving.

Continuous Learning
Manufacturing workers need to keep up with evolving tech, with companies now investing in upskilling.

Hands-on practice is time-consuming, expensive and sometimes ineffective.

Individual practice sessions are not available.

Active Matter Manufacturing Solutions

Mixed reality manuals

Our platform enables an on-the-job instructional content delivery system. Workers have access to manuals in mixed reality as they perform tasks, combined with VR training and practise on real machinery.

Engineers and maintenance staff can onboard new employees and train with actual systems, and remotely supervise and instruct less experienced staff.

AI instructor

A dedicated AI instructor will be tailored to simulate real-life scenarios, instantly correct students, answer questions in natural language, and adapt to individual learning curves.

Scalability
Cater to limitless users without compromising quality

24/7 Availability
Equal access to users across time zones and work schedules

Adaptive Learning
Evaluate students’ pace, strengths, and improvement areas

Interactive Manuals
Offer manuals on devices for instant access to information

Personalisation
Lesson plans and exercises created for individual needs

Cost-efficiency
Reduce overheads in hiring, training, and retaining human instructors

Consistent Quality
Standardised, high-quality training irrespective of external factors

Smart Immersive Facility (SIF)

Transform an existing plant into a smart training facility, with a virtual AI agent, mixed reality training and augmented training content in physical locations.

SIF is both AR and See-Through
Employees interact with digital augmented twins of equipment on-site, removing the danger of operating actual equipment.

SIF is AI-Managed
AI-guided step-by-step training increases scalability. Trainees can interact with the AI avatar, and if it can’t answer they’ll be connected to a human user.

SIF is a Virtual Twin
SIF overlays an existing facility, so employees can access content relating to a specific facility for training.

How SIF works

The employee arrives at the facility. The training facilitator has already set up a training program for the day. The employee picks up either a tablet or see-through VR goggles that deliver the training programme tailored to the trainees needs and relevant to the specific task and facility.

The application guides the employee through the facility telling them where to go step-by-step. When the employee arrives at certain locations, the training content kicks in, showing them equipment operations, and/or other training content.

The employee follows the training at the physical location through augmented content. For example, crane operation training can create a virtual crane at the location that can be experienced and operated through a see-through VR goggle or a tablet.
